Well, just when you thought I’d finished with all the self-congratulation … I’m thrilled to have been short-listed for the RNA’s Romance Prize again this year with Promoted: to Wife and Mother, so will be off to the Awards Lunch in London on 10th February to see who’ll be taking the rose bowl home this year. Also on the shortlist is last year’s winner, Kate Hardy, who was talked about her book Sold to the Highest Bidder on the blog here last year. Congratulations, Kate, and also to my fellow Romance author Fiona Harper, to Presents author India Grey, to Lucy Broadbent (Little Black Dress, Headline) and Beth Elliott (Robert Hale). It’s a great thing just to get on the shortlist, so well done to all, I say, and I look forward to seeing everyone in February. |

| Congratulations, Jessica! It's a lovely surprise to hear about this, but I suppose, really, I shouldn't be surprised because Promoted: to Wife and Mother very much deserves to have been short-listed. |

| Thank you, everyone! You're all very kind. I heard that Promoted: to Wife and Mother had been shortlisted some time ago, so for me it felt a little bit like old news when the shortlist was officially announced - but with everyone being so nice I've remembered how exciting it is again! |
